MARCH THROUGH MAY UPDATE:
Amelia had her teeth done it went fairly well. She had five fillings and did well with the anesthesia.  Then at the end of March she had an EEG which she tolerated and was rewarded with a new DVD. She also had an MRI and she did amazing for that.  They had to poke her 3 times for the I.V. but she just looked at them and watched didn't cry and thanked them when they got the needle in.  She amazed the tech he said he had never been thanked before for putting a needle into someone.  That's our Amelia.  The results came back and both showed no signs of seizure activity.  But, I am still not convinced.  Some days I can notice staring into space and not getting her attention occational trembling for a few seconds at a time and then odd behavior on those days.  But at least I have noticed that none of the seizures have lasted more than a minute.  School is drawing to a close and we got some dissapointing news yesterday.  Amelia's one on one aide is getting married and not returning to school next year.  She is going to become a stay home mom.  We wish her all the best.  But, now we have the task of making them get her another one on one aide and the worry behind finding the right one for Amelia.  So we are on to summer school which will start a couple of weeks after regular school ends. She really seems to enjoy the summer school teacher.  Oh, also, we had our Special Olympics Spring Meet and she had alot of fun.  She threw a softball and ran in the 50 meter dash.  She placed second and third.  I have alot of pictures that I am posting this week since I have been sooooooo behind, sorry everyone.  Oh ya, and her birthday party was a huge success!  She had it April 8th at our church education building.  So health wise we are doing pretty good, attitude is always day be day.  But she is always bringing laughter and smiles to our lives.  Until next month.  God Bless.

jJUNE THROUGH MID JULY
Amelia has had lots of fun with her summer classmates.  Next week is the last week of summer school.  Amelia's summer is going pretty good.  She likes playing in our above ground pool and has been practicing her 'Dora' game on her gameboy.  We saw the neurologist for a check up and found out a few of things.  The first being that Amelia has another diagnosis to add to the long list.  She has a partial fifth ventricle in her brain and a cavum septum pellucidum.  I will put a link on her home page for you to read the explanation of these.  Also the neurologist has said that Amelia is slightly O.C.D. which is obessive compulsive disorder.   When we asked the doctors opinion on Amelia's writing skills or lack there of she said that in her opinion Amelia being 10 years old already that she would probably never learn this skill and we needed to change her goals to using adaptive equipment such as a key board to further her education.  Oh on a happier note, we forgot to mention that Amelia went to a 'Wiggles' concert and had the most fun time.  I have added some more picture pages that includes the concert and her birthday party back in April.  Well until next time.  God Bless.
END OF AUGUST 2006
Well school has started again.  Amelia is in 5th grade and loving it.  She has a new one on one aide.  Her name is Debbie.  She seems very nice and Amelia really likes her.  We went to see the geneticsist which is always a lengthy visit.  Made it through that okay and she doesnt have to go back for a couple of years.  Amelia is growing and is now 4 foot 2 inches tall.  She weighs 56 pounds.  Today is actually the Sunday before labor day and we just got back from 'Splash Zone' a local water park in our town.  Amelia had a blast.  I think Dad had just as much fun.  Hopefully I will get some pictures up from the water park within this week.  The water park waved the entrance fee for all special needs kids and adults for a couple of hours as a donation to the 4RKIDS foundation.  This is a group that raises money so that special needs kids can have athletic outtings and also special needs teachers can get grants for their classroom so that they can buy things that are needed for the children.  It is so wonderful.  Poor Amelia about a half hour before we left fell and hit both of her knees pretty hard.  They were instantly bruised and swelling.  So  we are back home and hot shower warm food and  her night night meds and of course a story and she was ready for bed.  Well until next time I will try to keep everyone updated.  God Bless you all.
End of September 2006

Well September went smoothly
not much to tell.  We had the 4RKids Walk
and our team raised $500 for the organization.
Amelia's name got drawn for a small prize and
it was exciting to her to here her name on the
loud speaker in the stadium.  So far no ear infections.
No bad illnesses hopefully this will continue.
Well until the end of October I guess this is about it.
