| January 2009 to July 7 2009 UPDATE School went great this year. Amelia is looking forward to the 2009-2010 school year. She loves a schedule and her friends of course. We had a lot of fun with cheerleading and she is going to do cheerleading again this year. Summer school is now in it's last week. Amelia is starting to have some behavior issues about every four weeks so ladies I think we know what is around the corner for our growing daughter. Amelia is having sleep issues and currently we are exhausted but with our faith in God and our love for Amelia we will get by. I am still trying to get pics put on. Sorry I am so far behind. | March 2010 Okay okay I am way behind on updates. Here it goes. 8th grade has gone wonderfully this year. Loves her teacher loves her aide. She has had this aide now for two years. We are now getting prepared for next year which she will be at the High School. We are hoping and praying that her aide goes with her. She recently had and IEP and they had tested her and she has come up in her academics by about 6 months to a year depending on the subject. She is basically at a first grade level. We are so happy she is moving forward. She is still needing to improve on self help skills but she is trying really hard. She is still in Special Needs Cheerleading. She loves it! So do we it has helped tremendously with her crowd anxiety. She is learning to deal with her fears. So very proud of that. She is now 4'9! We have really grown this year. She just did her first solo at special olympics and was so awesome. The video is on the home page. She is on behavioral medicine. She is currently taking concerta to help her concentrate more on her school work. She also takes zoloft to help her with anxiety and to help her sleep at night she is taking clonodine and a sedative called Desyrel(trazadone). She is such an awesome child that is usually happy and tries so hard to please. We are still having some mood swings but hey don't we all. Well til next time. |
