Well I am finally updating again.
Amelia loves her Junior High School. She seems to really like her teacher and her aide. The best part of it all is so do I. It seems to be working out okay. Well to get you up to date, Amelia, has started Cheerleading. They have a special needs cheerleading squad in our town and she is really loving it. We practice once a week for about 45 minutes and she has gone to two competitions and received to trophies. She is finally getting a little taller so physically she is changing and growing. Of course the other is still a day to day struggle. She still likes Hannah Montana but is also into High School Musical and of course The Jonas Brothers! Christmas is just around the corner and she hasn't asked for anything other than "books" I know big surprise (NOT). She has had two special olympics competitions since school has started . One was horse shoes the other bowling so we have more ribbons hanging on our wall. We let our son , Xander, have a few friends over for Halloween and Amelia dressed up like a gothic pirate. She was the official door greeter and we all had a lot of fun. Amelia recently had a school music program which was fifties themed and she did really well with that also. It is nice to see her interacting with regular kids also. She is healthy and happy and trying her best to learn her numbers she does a little addition now and of course we are still working on the reading. Each day is a rollercoaster ride but, for someone like me who used to hate riding on rollercoasters I have turned into one of those people,thanks to Amelia, who seems to not mind them so much and I even get a laugh and a smile onmost days.
